Funny you should mention a long cold winter since I'm heading into what I expect to be the frozen tundra. The caterpillars this year are particularly fuzzy and to me that has always meant a realy rough winter season.

Aaron, I have a sister that lives in Greeley and I am already planning to visit next summer as well. I would be glad to share the ride with your friend as that is about the best way to get to Greeley. Salt Lake City could be on the route I want to take. Keep in touch as we have a long winter before that can happen.

Glad to hear you still think fondly of the service. Tough time to be in back then. We're glad to be able to count you as a member. I have a new duty station coming up whenever teh funding comes down from on high, but I still plan a ride for next summer through states I haven't seen yet. I have the idea of being the first one to put an entry on motorcycleroads.com for all 50 states.
I haven't made Idaho yet, but wouldn't objext to a ride out there. I have a guy in Salt Lake City that is doing a ride from there to Durango, Colorado next summer. ANy chance that you would be able to get out for that ride? Welcome.

I served three years with the Navy/Marines during Vietnam. I was a third class dental prosthetic tech stationed at PSNS Main Dental then with the 2nd/22nd Marine Div. FMF, Camp Legune, NC. Spent 35+ years in the Seattle/Kitsap area as a School Counselor/Psych. Would liked to have made the Navy a career but was not possible at that time. Hope we can get together. I am currently living in McCall, ID, about 100 miles north of Boise .. . . . a beautiful ride! Would be glad to host riders during the summer if come through this area.

I'm looking to head out west next summer to walk around in the Giant Redwood forest before making a U-turn and heading back east through Sturgis, SD. I want to spend moe time in the area to see some of the places the weather didn't let me see this year. Anyone that would like to come along for all or part of the ride is welcome.

Check out the colors in this picture when you get a chance, and think of what quality video eor stills we could come up with given this kind of material. The leaves will be turning colors before too much longer farther west and I can't wait for that ride against the background.

On the patch, I was thinking about how a battleship would look standing just under the big guns of a battleship turret for a start.

Yep., and that's assuming I can make arrangements for another VIN. That sounds like the guy is shady to me. I'll find out.
