LOL! My kingdom for a horse! Assuming a basic navigation knowledge, Allen, use Johnny's suggestion. It depends on the Java engine being setup on your PC (and behaving itself properly), and in order to view and select specific photos, the navigation "view" needs to be set to either "thumbnail" or "filmstrip" mode, but his solution is short, to the point, and completely correct.

It is great that you want to upload photos because that is a good del of the fun in participating, as any Facebook, MySpace, or MotorCycleMyPlace member can attest.

Just noticed - you are from Waterloo. That is about a 2 hour drive from my home, so another option is that - if your computer is a laptop - you could bring it to me physically and we could do it here (no charge of course). Or, optionally, I could drive to you, but I would want to be reimbursed for my gas because I drive a "R/T" pickup (high performance gas guzzler), and the gas for the round trip would probably be $30 - $40. Again, let me know at the above email address if any of these solutions will work for you (I don't know if I mentioned it, but I am a software instructor by trade).

Click on Photo Tab - My Albums - Add Album(if you want different albums) - Add Photos - put your CD in the CD Drive - Click and drag the photos from the disk to the window on the right.

First, do not be embarrassed. I'm sure there are many, many things that you can to that others haven't yet learned, so everyone has "been there" at one time or another.

There are several ways to accomplish what you want, Allen, and every "techie" has a different "favorite routine". One is to give you a step-by-step list of things to do. But many would require further explanation - in effect it would involve teaching you the basics of how to navigate your computer, find files, then manipulate those files on your PC. This could be extremely time-consuming, to say nothing of frustrating, for both the "teacher" and the "student".

A variation of that would be to have a techie or a PC savvy friend, talk you through it on the phone. Like the first suggestion, it could be easy, but it could also be extremely time-consuming depending on your current level of expertise, or lack of it.

A better solution might be for someone to do it for you, remotely. I'm talking about something that is dangerous in that it involves giving someone you have never met permission to take control of your computer, albeit remotely. And once you allow someone else to control your PC - if he/she were a "bad guy" - he/she could do a great deal of damage while they have access to your PC. In other words, it would require a high degree of trust on your part.

There is a free software that could accomplish this, so it needn't cost anything. But it would require that both of you be on your separate computers at the same time, and that you know how to download and install that software, then give your techie (someone like myself) a "password" to enter your system. It would also be extremely helpful if you have a "broadband" Internet connection, like cable, or DSL. If you are accessing the Internet on a regular-old phone modem (aka 56K "dialup"), it could still be done, but would be slow for the person helping you.

In the time it took me to type all that, I probably could have called you and talked you through it - LOL! Let me know if I can help. You can send an email to me at Lwalther@iowatelecom.net. I'm not always at the computer, but I'll get back to you asap.
